Bradford Nelson Elliott | Homicide Watch DChttp://homicidewatch.org/suspects/bradford-nelson-elliott/Latest news about Bradford Nelson Elliotten-usTue, 21 Jan 2014 13:55:08 -0500Georgetown Stabbing Suspect Dead, Police Sayhttp://homicidewatch.org/2014/01/21/georgetown-stabbing-suspect-dead-police-say/<p><strong><em>Updated: A press release from MPD has been added to the bottom of this post.</em></strong></p> <p>A man arrested in connection with the stabbing death of 88-year-old <a href="http://homicidewatch.org/victims/leroi-elliott/" >Leroi Elliott</a> in Georgetown Sunday morning has died.</p> <p>MPD spokeswoman Gwendolyn Crump said Tuesday that the suspect, 56-year-old <a href="http://homicidewatch.org/suspects/bradford-nelson-elliott/" >Bradford Nelson Elliott</a>, died of a heart attack Monday while being treated for injuries at a local hospital. </p> <p>Police found Bradford Elliott's father and mother stabbed at about 6:30 Sunday morning in their Georgetown home in the 3300 block of Q Street Northwest.<br /> <span id="more-20598"></span><br /> The father, Leroi Elliott, was pronounced dead at the scene. The mother, who had summoned police by calling 911, was admitted to a hospital in serious condition. </p> <p>Bradford Nelson Elliott was arrested at the scene and on suspicion of first-degree murder. Records from DC Superior Court do not indicate that he was arraigned on his charge or that he ever appeared in court on it. </p> <p>From MPD:</p> <blockquote><p>January 21, 2014</p> <p>Death of Homicide Suspect: 3300 Block of Q Street, Northwest</p> <p>(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide which occurred in the 3300 block of Q Street, Northwest.</p> <p>On Sunday, January 19, 2014, at approximately 6:00 am, members of the Second District responded for the report of a stabbing in the 3300 block of Q Street, Northwest. Upon arrival, they located two elderly victims suffering from apparent stab wounds. The male victim exhibited no signs consistent with life and remained on the scene until being transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner pending an autopsy. The female victim was transported to a hospital and admitted in serious condition.</p> <p>The decedent has been identified as 88 year-old Leroi Elliot of Northwest, Washington, DC.</p> <p>The suspect, who is identified as 56 year-old Bradford Nelson Elliott of Northwest, was transported from the scene of the offense to an area hospital to be treated for minor lacerations to his hands that he incurred during the assault and was subsequently arrested and charged with Murder One while Armed.</p> <p>On Sunday, January 19, 2014 while at the hospital receiving treatment for his lacerations, the suspect went into cardiac arrest and was admitted for further treatment. On Monday, January 20, 2014, the suspect went into cardiac arrest again and was pronounced dead. Winslow, was the official White House architect for many years and designed numerous structures within the mansion, including the Truman Balcony.</p> <p>Le Roi Elliott "was an extraordinarily nice man," said a neighbor, 96-year-old Page Wilson.
