The indictment specifically states that some of the defendants allegedly participated in assaults against persons they believed to be rival gang members, made threats against persons they believed to be cooperating with law enforcement, and carried out extortions.</p></blockquote> <p><span id="more-6348"></span><br /> Diaz-Antunuez was indicted in the case in connection with the Nov. 2008 stabbing death of 27-year-old Louis Alberto Membreno-Zelaya, 27. Upon their arrival, they observed a male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to the scene and determined that the victim had no signs consistent with life.
