Dixon was found there shot. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, MPD said. </p> <p>A second shooting victim was found near 4th and M Streets Northwest. That person was taken to the hospital for treatment, MPD said.</p> <p>The press release is after the jump.<br /> <span id="more-5408"></span></p> <blockquote><p>August 29, 2011</p> <p>DOUBLE SHOOTING IN THE 200 BLOCK OF N ST NW, RESULTS IN ONE HOMICIDE</p> <p>(Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Departments Homicide Branch are currently investigating a double shooting which occurred in the 200 block of N Street, NW, which has left one man dead.</p> <p>On Sunday, August 28, 2011, at approximately 7:38 p.m. units from the First District responded to the 200 block of N Street, NW for the report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Personnel from DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to the hospital where he was subsequently pronounced dead.</p> <p>The second adult victim was located in the area of 4th and M Streets N.W. suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment.</p> <p>The decedent in this case has been identified as 21-year-old Dominic Dixon of Northwest D.C.</p> <p>Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at (202) 727-9099 or 1-888-919-CRIME (1-888-919-2746).</p> <p>The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.</p> <p>Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to DC CRIME SOLVERS at 1-866-673-2777 and to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.
