Houston was reported missing Monday, and was last seen in the 2000 block of Georgia Avenue Northwest.</p> <p>Medical examiners determined that Houston died of blunt force injuries and asphyxiation and ruled her death a homicide Thursday. <span id="more-22746"></span></p> <p>Police are offering a reward for anyone with information on this case.</p> <p>Below is a news release from the Metropolitan Police Department:</p> <blockquote><p> Undetermined Death Ruled A Homicide: 800 Block of<br /> Channing Place, NE </p> <p>(Washington, DC)- Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are<br /> investigating a homicide in the 800 block of Channing Place, Northeast. </p> <p>On Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at approximately 11:12 am, an adult female was found deceased in the<br /> 800 block of Channing Place, Northeast. The decedent was subsequently transported to the Office of<br /> the Chief Medical Examiner pending autopsy. </p> <p>On May 8, 2014, members of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined the Cause of<br /> Death to be blunt force injuries and asphyxiation and the Manner to be Homicide. </p> <p>The decedent has been identified as 75 year-old Mary Houston of Northeast, Washington, DC. </p> <p>The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that<br /> provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any<br /> homicide committed in the District of Columbia. Anyone with information about this case is asked to<br /> call the police at (202) 727-9099.
