Police had few immediate details, but said the victim was pronounced dead at a hospital. He was identified as Tracy Lamont Day, 38.</p></blockquote> <p>A press release from MPD has been added below.</p> <blockquote><p>August 24, 2013</p> <p>Homicide: 700 Block of Langston Terrace, Northeast</p> <p>(Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting which occurred in the 700 block of Langston Terrace, Northeast.</p> <p>On Friday, August 23, 2013 at approximately 11:12 pm, patrol officers from the Fifth District responded to the 700 block of Langston Terrace, Northeast for the report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they located an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.</p> <p>The decedent is identified as 38 year-old Tracy Lamont Day of Bowie, Maryland.</p> <p>The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
