At least one person is dead after a triple shooting in the 500 block of Madison St NW on Friday afternoon. A Metro Police message sent to the Fourth District yahoo listserve stated that the shooting occurred in a residence:
“Units are on the scene of a shooting which occurred inside a residence in the 500 blk of Madison St NW. There are 3 victims and members of the Homicide Branch are on the scene investigating. Update to follow…. ”
NBC Washington reports a man was killed in shooting, a woman was shot “multiple times” and is in critical condition and a teen was shot once. The teen’s condition was not reported.
The shooter is believed to have carjacked a Metro Access Vehicle in their getaway, but was found and taken into custody before 6 p.m., reported the Washington Post, TBD, and Prince of Petworth who said the suspect was arrested in PG County.
