Victim in NE Homicide IDed as 65-year-old Clarence Wilson

Metro Police tonight identified the victim in a shooting in Northeast D.C. yesterday as Clarence Wilson, a 65-year-old D.C. man.

Victim Identified in the Homicide in the 2300 Block of 14th Street, NE

(Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting which occurred in the 2300 block of 14th Street, NE.

On Thursday, February 17, 2011, shortly after 12:00 pm, units from the Fifth District responded to the 2300 block of 14th Street, NE for the report of an unconscious male. Upon their arrival they were met by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel who directed them to an individual who was found inside of the location suffering from gunshot wounds. It was determined by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel that the victim did not show any signs consistent with life, and was subsequently pronounced dead. The victims’ remains have been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner pending autopsy.

The victim has been identified as 65-year-old Clarence Wilson of Northeast, DC.
