In the foyer of Cardozo High School, where classmates of Lucki Pannell met yesterday for a vigil, a MPD poster still hangs on the wall for another teenage girl killed in the neighborhood.
Ebony Franklin, a 17-year-old Prince George’s County girl, was found dead in a trash can in Columbia Heights Nov. 29, 2010. Yesterday, while attending a vigil for Pannell, friends marked what would have been Franklin’s 18th birthday.
An MPD spokeswoman said Franklin’s case is “open and under investigation.”
Asked if there were any updates in the case, Ward One Councilman Jim Graham said “none to my knowledge…sadly.”
