Seven Injured, Four Killed, in a Night of Violence

UPDATED: A total of four people are dead this morning and seven others injured after a string of shootings—and two stabbings—unfurled across D.C. late Wednesday night and into Thursday morning.

The fatalities occurred in the 700 block of Quincy Street NW, where officers were called for a single shooting victim at around 9:42 p.m., in the 700 block of Yuma Street SE where officers were called for a double shooting at around 11:44 p.m. (both victims died), and in the 900 block of Wahler Place SE where a double shooting left one man dead.


In addition to those homicides, double shootings were reported on Brentwood Road NE and Wahler Place SE. Four people were also injured in two separate stabbing attacks; one in the 1700 block of H Street in Northeast and three in the 1300 block of Trinidad Avenue NE.
