Woman Found Fatally Stabbed in Downtown DC ID’ed as Barbara Lloyd

A woman found stabbed to death less than a mile from the White House on Aug. 8 has been identified as Barbara Lloyd, a 56-year-old Baltimore woman.

Lloyd was named by MPD as “Eman Mohammed,” even while she remained a “Jane Doe” while detectives sought out her next of kin.

She was found near the Old Post Office Pavilion at about 6:20 a.m. on Aug. 8. She had been fatally stabbed.

Victim Identified in the Homicide in the 1100 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue, NW

(Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating the fatal stabbing which occurred in the 1100 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W.

On Monday, August 8, 2011, at approximately 6:20 am, units from the First District responded to the 1100 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, NW to investigate the report of an unconscious person. Upon their arrival, they found an adult female on the scene, suffering from apparent stab wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to the scene and determined that the victim had no signs consistent with life.

The decedent has been identified as 56 year-old Barbara Lloyd of Baltimore, MD.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.

If the information provided by the caller to the Crime Solvers Unit leads to an arrest and indictment, that caller will be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
