Southeast DC Shooting Victim IDed as 35-year-old Delvon Javis Shearin

A man killed in Southeast DC Saturday morning has been identified as 35-year-old Delvon Javis Shearin, MPD reports.

Homicide: 2300 Block of Ainger Place, SE

(Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Departments Homicide Branch are investigating the fatal shooting which occurred in the 2300 block of Ainger Place, SE.

On Saturday, December 10, 2011, at approximately 8:46 am units from the Seventh District responded to a call for a shooting in the 2300 block of Ainger Place, SE. Upon arrival, they located an adult male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to the scene and transported the victim to local area hospital. The victim later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

The decedent is identified as 35-year-old Delvon Javis Shearin of Southeast, Washington DC.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
