Florida Avenue Stabbing Victim Identified as Dwayne Edward Brisbon

A man found stabbed inside a crashed car on Florida Avenue early this morning has been identified as 33-year-old Dwayne Edward Brisbon of Upper Marlboro, MD.

Police say Brisbon was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Homicide: 500 block of Florida Avenue, NW

(Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating the fatal stabbing which occurred in the 500 block of Florida Avenue, Northwest.

On Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at approximately 2:15 am, members from the Third District responded to the 500 block of Florida Avenue, NW for the report of a vehicle accident. Upon their arrival, they located an adult male, inside a vehicle, suffering from an apparent stab wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel transported the victim to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

The decedent has been identified as 33 year-old Dwayne Edward Brisbon of Upper Marlboro, MD.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
