Ariston Jamal Dickson Arrested in Connection with Shooting Death of Robert Lesueur

Ariston Jamal Dickson, 21, was arrested Tuesday evening on suspicion of second-degree murder in the shooting death of Robert Maurice Lesueur.

Lesueur was shot Monday at the 1700 block of 27th Street. He died later at the hospital.

Dickson will likely be presented with the charge at DC Superior Court later today.

Homicide Arrest: 1700 Block of 27th Street, SE

(Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch have announced an arrest has been made in the fatal shooting which occurred in the 1700 block of 27th Street, SE.

On Monday, October 22, 2012, at approximately 1:33 am, units from the Sixth District responded to the 1700 block of 27th Street, SE for the report of an assault in progress. Upon arrival, they located the victim unconscious suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

The decedent is identified as 23-year old Robert Maurice Lesueur of Northeast, Washington, DC.

On Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at approximately 5:55 pm, 21 year-old Ariston Jamal Dickson of Southeast,Washington, DC was arrested by members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force pursuant to a DC Superior Court warrant charging him with Second Degree Murder in the shooting death of Robert Lesueur.
