Link Roundup: Darius Cannon

Last Sunday, Darius Cannon became the second homicide victim under the age of 18 to be killed this year in D.C.

Police found Cannon, 16, gunned down in the 2700 block of Langston Place Southeast at about 12:37 a.m. April 7. The story gained immediate media attention as friends and family expressed shock over the shooting.

WJLA reported that Cannon’s older sister, Shaneeka Cannon, was struck and killed by lightening in Maryland in 2007.
