Teenage Fatal Stabbing Victim Identified as Ernest Hart

A teenager who was fatally stabbed Wednesday has been identified as 17-year-old Ernest Hart of Southeast D.C.

Police found Hart in the 4600 block of Hillside Road SE around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday suffering from a stab wound. He was transported to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Hart is the third teenager to be killed in D.C. this year.

Homicide: 4600 Block of Hillside Road, SE

(Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal stabbing which occurred in the 4600 block of Hillside Road, SE.

On Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at approximately 9:21 pm, units from the Sixth District responded to the 4600 block of Hillside Road, SE for the report of an aggravated assault. Upon arrival, they located a juvenile male suffering from an apparent stab wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

The decedent is identified as 17-year-old Ernest Hart of Southeast, Washington, DC.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
