2009 Shooting Death of Michael George Colbert Closed with Arrest

The 2009 shooting death of Southeast DC man Michael George Colbert was closed Tuesday with the arrest of 30-year-old Quinn Johnson, also of Southeast DC.

Johnson is suspected of first-degree murder while armed, police said.

Arrest Made in 2009 Homicide: 4200 Block of 4th Street, SE

(Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch have announced that an arrest has been made in the homicide which occurred in the 4200 block of 4th Street, SE.

On Saturday, May 16, 2009, at approximately 5:19 am, members of the Seventh District responded to the 4200 block of 4th Street, SE for the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, they located an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The decedent is identified as 32 year-old Michael George Colbert of Southeast, Washington, DC.

On Tuesday, December 31, 2013, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested 30-year-old Quinn Johnson of Southwest, Washington, DC pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant charging him with First Degree Murder while Armed in connection to the death of Michael George Colbert.
