Southeast Shooting Victim Identified as Antwone Dwayne Tolson

A man who died Monday night after being shot in the 2600 block of Bowen Road Southeast has been identified by police. Antwone Dwayne Tolson, 19, was pronounced dead at a local hospital after he was transported there to be treated for multiple gunshot wounds.

Homicide: 2600 Block of Bowen Road, Southeast

(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide which occurred in the 2600 block of Bowen Road, Southeast.

On Monday, May 19, 2014, at approximately 11:29 pm, police officers from the Seventh Patrol District responded to a call for the report of a shooting in the 2600 block of Bowen Road, Southeast. Upon arrival, they located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the 2600 block of Bowen Road, Southeast. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The decedent was subsequently transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, for the District of Columbia where an autopsy will be performed to ascertain cause and manner of death.

The decedent has been identified as 19-year-old Antwone Dwayne Tolson of Southeast, Washington, DC.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
