Alonzo Gregory Beasley Killed Sunday in NE D.C. Stabbing

A stabbing at 22nd and I Street Northeast killed 52-year-old Alonzo Gregory Beasley Sunday afternoon, according to MPD.

Police officers found Beasley suffering from apparent stab wounds to the body at approximately 3:33 p.m. Beasley was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Homicide at 22nd and I Streets, NE

(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide which occurred at 22nd and I Streets, NE.

On Sunday, July 6, 2014, at approximately 3:33 pm officers from the Fifth District responded to a call for a stabbing at 22nd and I Streets NE. Upon their arrival, an adult male was located suffering apparent stab wounds to the body. Personnel from DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The decedent’s remains were transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner pending an autopsy.

The decedent has been identified as 52-year-old Alonzo Gregory Beasley.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
