Breond Keys Killed in Friday Morning Shooting

Breond Keys, 38, died at a local hospital Friday after being found inside an establishment with multiple gunshot wounds in the 1400 block of Good Hope Road Southeast.

Police are searching for a black man who was wearing blue jeans and a dark-colored hoodie in connection with Keys’ death.

Homicide in the 1400 block of Good Hope Road SE

(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred in the 1400 block of Good Hope Road, Southeast. On Friday, October 10, 2014, at approximately 11:20 am, members of the Seventh District responded for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, the victim 38-year-old Breond Keys was discovered inside an establishment suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing blue jeans and a dark colored hoodie.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
