Kevin Walker Found Guilty in Double Homicide

Jurors found Kevin Walker, 39, guilty in the 2013 double homicide of siblings Jamie and Jamal Jenkins.

The verdict delivered Friday evening convicted Walker of two counts of first-degree murder while armed and two related weapons charges.

During the five-day trial, witnesses testified that they saw Kevin Walker shoot Jamie, 28, and Jamal, 21, in retaliation for an argument between Jamie and Walker’s girlfriend—an argument that the two women had already resolved.

According to witnesses, Jamie pleaded with Walker to spare her brother’s life. When Walker refused, she tried to shield Jamal and was shot in the head. As Jamal turned to run, Walker shot him in the back six times.

Walker is scheduled to be sentenced before Judge Russell Canan on March 12.
