Chamontae Walker of Southeast, DC was arrested on suspicion of first degree murder while armed on Friday in the shooting death of Darrel Hendy in September 2010.

Kirk Garnes was found dead in Lamond Riggs at around 8 a.m. Saturday morning in an apparent homicide. No arrests have been announced.

Kevin Benbow, 17, was charged as an adult in the November 2010 shooting death of Jinnell McQueen, a Seat Pleasant woman, in Southeast D.C. He was presented with the first-degree murder charge Saturday.

Joshua Andrews, a Southeast D.C., man was arrested in connection with the shooting of Darond Lucas, 17, last June. Andrews, 19, is being held on suspicion of first-degree-murder while armed.

A Thursday night shooting killed Raheem “Gunna” Jackson, a 16-year-old Congress Heights boy who was an HD Woodson High School student, a point guard on the school’s basketball team and a Georgetown fan.

Judge Thomas Motley ordered 17-year-old Donald Crosland held in the death of Ricardo Minger after finding substantial probability that the teen was “the second shooter” in the case.
