Week Ahead

Raymond Roseboro, whose trial began this week will continue in trial with Judge Russell Canan. Roseboro is charged with first-degree murder while armed in the death of teen Prince Okorie. The trial is expected to resume Monday at 10 a.m.

On Tuesday, Lamont Terry is expected for a preliminary hearing, though prosecutors have filed a motion to make the appointment a status hearing instead. Terry is suspected of felony murder 1992 shooting death of Chet Matthews. Judge Robert Morin will hear the case.

Judge Morin is also expecting Aaron Adams for a status hearing. Adams is suspected of second-degree murder in the stabbing death of Garrett Armand White.

On Thursday, Patricia Cave is scheduled to go to trial on a charge of voluntary manslaughter while armed in the stabbing death of her boyfriend, Lamont Warren. Judge Ronna Beck is assigned to the trial.

Judge Morin is expecting James Sandidge for a status hearing on a charge of second-degree murder. Sandidge is suspected in the shooting death of Keenan Jerel Lee.

On Friday, Deshaun Johnson and Timothy Shade are expected for sentencing with Judge William Jackson. They both pled guilty in December to one count of voluntary manslaughter. The two men were accused of assaulting Bernard Augustus Lewis Jr. in Southeast D.C. on Monday, August 30, 2010. Lewis died the next day at a hospital. Officials said he had suffered blunt force injury to the head. Johnson and Shade were both arrested within a week of the assault.

Judge Jackson is also expecting Terrence Bush, Terry Jimenez, and Deonte Bryant for a status hearing. They are suspected od second-degree murder in the shooting death of Robert Foster Jr.

Brandon Andrews, suspected of fatally shooting Leonard Alphonso Bigelow, is also expected by Judge Jackson for a status conference on a second-degree murder charge.

Shawn Davis is expected for sentencing with Judge Gerald Fisher. Davis pled guilty in November to one count of second-degree murder while armed in the death of his ex-girlfriend, Tawana Barnes Copeland.

Judge Morin is expecting Irving Johnson for a status hearing. Johnson is suspected of first-degree murder in the shooting deaths of Domonique Barber and Jimmie Lee Simmons III.

Judge Motley is expecting Anthony Hatton for a status hearing at 11 a.m. Hatton is suspected of first-degree murder in the shooting death of Tyrell Fogle.

Judge Keary is expecting Anthony Speight for a status hearing. Speight is suspected in the shooting death of William Robert Mitchell.

Judge Beck is expecting Donald McCorkle and James Fields for status hearings. McCorkle is suspected of second-degree murder in the shooting death of Bruce Parker. Fields is suspected of second-degree murder in the shooting death of Christopher Emanuel Freeman.
