David Bolden Arrested in Death of Lamont Antonio Devore

Police have arrested 33-year-old David Bolden in the death of Lamont Antonio Devore, who died in a stabbing on May 1.

Devore, 34, was found in the 1600 block of Kenilworth Avenue NE suffering from multiple stab wounds. MPD’s press release is below.

Deaths of Stephen Horsley, Dalontray Williams Ruled “Justified Homicide by Citizen”

The deaths of two 19-year-old DC men have been determined to be “justified” by MPD and will not be included in this year’s count of homicide victims.

The men, Stephen Horsley and Dalontray Williams, were killed in separate incidents two weeks apart in January.

Horsley, a Northeast DC man, was shot and killed on Friday, Jan. 13, just after 11 p.m. in the 4600 block of Benning Road, Southeast.

Williams, of Northwest DC, went to the Kennedy Recreation Center on 7th Street NW after being stabbed; police believe he was stabbed about a block away. He was transported from the rec center to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

22 Year Prison Sentence in 2009 Northwest DC Shooting Death

Nathaniel Grey was sentenced today to 22 years in prison for the 2009 shooting death of Brandon Scott.

Terrell Brent Receives Three Years in Russian Roulette Case

Twenty-year-old Terrell Brent stood silently as Judge William Jackson sentenced him to three years in prison, the minimum for involuntary manslaughter, in the death of his best friend Lugus Fleming.

Brent stood in his dark blue prison uniform, facing only Judge William Jackson and looking at the ground throughout the sentencing, never once glancing at Fleming’s family as they spoke to the judge of their son and brother.

Brent turned to the family only once, to give a brief statement. He recounted the time he spent with Fleming’s family and said he still hopes to be a good godfather to Fleming’s son. His defense attorney said Brent has sought therapy since the shooting.

Andre Miles Arrested in Shooting Death of Sandy Greene

Andre Miles, a nineteen-year-old Southeast DC man, was arrested Thursday on suspicion of first degree murder in the shooting death of Sandy Tremaine Greene III.

Greene was killed just before noon, Monday, in the 2200 block of Savannah Street SE.

SW DC Man Arrested in 2009 Killing of Richard Robinson

A 21-year-old DC man was arrested Tuesday in a three-year-old homicide case, MPD said in a press release.

According to the release, James Rico Wood is suspected of second degree murder while armed in connection with the 2009 shooting death of 22-year-old Richard Robinson.
