A 36-year-old man died after being found by police in Northeast DC late Wednesday night suffering from trauma.

A man killed in a shooting in Southeast DC Tuesday night has been identified as 42-year-old George Hardy.

WaPo: Teen Confessed to Shooting Bryant Morillo
One of the two teenagers arrested in the shooting death of 16-year-old Bryant Morillo confessed to the crime shortly after being arrested, the Washington Post reports.
The teens wanted to rob two others who were walking in the 4500 block of New Hampshire Avenue NW about 1:30 p.m., Clingerman said. When it was over, according to Clingerman, Bryant Morillo, 16, of Hyattsville was shot in the neck and buttocks. He died from his injuries. Another person who was with Morillo was also shot but survived.

Man Killed in SE DC Shooting Late Tuesday Night
A man was shot and killed late Tuesday night in Southeast DC, local media reports.
The man was found by police in the 3300 block of 14th Place Southeast; he had been shot in the head and back and was declared dead at the scene, WUSA and Fox5 report.

26 Year Prison Sentence for Stabbing Death of Elaine Coleman
John Smith was sentenced today to 26 years in prison for the stabbing death of Elaine Coleman, who was found dead in her apartment on Dec. 4.

Two Juveniles Arrested in Connection with Jan. 2011 Shooting Death of Bryant Morillo
Two juveniles were arrested today on suspicion of first-degree murder while armed in connection with the January 2011 shooting death of 16-year-old Bryant Morillo, MPD announced Monday evening.
The juveniles were not identified in MPD’s press release.

Draynell Paul Henderson was killed in a shooting in a Northeast DC apartment building Thursday evening; Keyon Caldwell was arrested at the scene of the shooting and later presented with a charge of second-degree murder.
Sirrocco Delonte Johnson was killed in a shooting in Southeast DC late Friday night.
Patricia Cave was acquitted of voluntary manslaughter in the stabbing death of Lamont Warren. The two-day trial largely focused on Cave’s claim to self-defense. Jury deliberations lasted one day. Once the jury filed out of the courtroom, Cave thanked the judge and walked into arms of the dozen or so supporters who had silently shed tears of joy and gasped at the verdict. “Thank you, Jesus,” Cave said, with tears in her eyes.
Malachi Hansan Hargrove pleaded innocent this week after turning himself in on a charge of first-degree murder. The Grand Jury has already indicted the case. Hargrove is suspected in the shooting death of 19-year-old Osman Al-Akbar near Meridian Hill Park in August 2011.
A police officer who witnessed Wyatt Earp Robinson’s shooting death in Northeast DC pled guilty. The officer, Antonia McClam, was charged with obstruction of justice and neglect of an officer to make an arrest, Fox5’s Paul Wagner reported.
Sixteen-year-old Christian Navarrette-Rivas was sentenced to six years in prison for voluntary manslaughter in the death of 22-year-old Miguel Drullard. Navarrette-Rivas pleaded guilty in January to driving his red Jeep Liberty and intentionally striking Drullard on Oct. 16, 2011. The car drug Drullard as it moved forward and Drullard later died from his injuries.
Reginald Vance has pled guilty to being an accessory in the fatal assault on Keith Banks in Nov. 2010.
James Brewer, Stephen Page, and Anthony Thomas, accused in the shooting death of 71-year-old Solomon Reese, have been charged with first-degree felony murder, in addition to conspiracy, burglary, and the armed robbery of a senior citizen.. They each pled innocent to the charges.
A man who, along with Jeffrey Covington, was the subject of an armed robbery attempt that left Covington dead, has been charged alongside the shooter who is suspected of murder. An indictment filed last week charges Jeffrey Blount with obstruction of justice, tampering with evidence, and illegal possession of a firearm. The indictment states that Blount and Covington, known respectively as “Big Jeff” and “Lil’ Jeff,” were the subjects of a robbery perpetrated by William Faison. Faison is charged with first-degree felony murder.
DC Councilman Phil Mendelson has asked the District’s 911 system director for a full explanation of how a 911 operator failed to respond to a call for help from a witness to Angelo Jones’ 2010 shooting death in Clay Terrace. In a letter sent to the head of the District’s 911 system, he asked for specifics about the operator’s retraining and any disciplinary action that was taken.
