Northeast D.C. Shooting Victim IDed as Eddie A. Leonard Jr.

Metro Police have identified a man killed in a shooting in Northeast D.C. late Sunday night as 32-year-old Eddie A. Leonard Jr.

Leonard’s body was found in the 400 block of 24th Street NE, less than a mile from his home in the 1600 block of Isherwood Street, NE.

Man Killed in Shooting Near Anacostia Park



WUSA is reporting that a man died after being shot in the head overnight. The man was found by police in the 400 block of 24th Street NE, near Anacostia Park, around midnight, WUSA reports.

D.C. emergency responders tweeted last night that they had been called to that same address for a report of a shooting.

The victim has not been identified.

Jim Graham's Statement on Deadly Columbia Heights Shooting

Councilman Jim Graham released the following statement today about the shooting death of Lucki Pannell Saturday night in Columbia Heights.

Dear Friends, MPD tells me that about 7 PM someone walked up to a house on the 3000 block of Sherman and shot three people, two adult males and a juvenile female. MPD states that the juvenile died from the shooting. The two males—conscious and breathing—are in the hospital, wounded.

MPD: Shooting Victim IDed as Lucki Pannell

Metro Police has now identified the victim of a shooting in Columbia Heights as 18-year-old Lucki Nancy Pannell. According to MPD, Pannell was a resident of the block where she was shot Saturday evening.

That’s what 17-year-old Lucki Pannell told the Facebook community she was doing at about 7 p.m. Saturday night. Four hours later the first memorial messages started rolling in.

Metro Police have not released the identity of the victim have now identified Pannell as the victim of a triple shooting in Columbia Heights early Saturday night. Friends of Pannell have taken to Facebook and Twitter to share their grief for the Columbia Heights teen.

Triple Shooting in Columbia Heights Kills Girl

The Washington Post is reporting that a teenage girl has died in a triple shooting Saturday evening in Columbia Heights.

The shooting was reported at about 7 p.m.

This is a brazen, mad thing,” D.C. Councilman Jim Graham told the Post.
