Week Ahead

Each Friday, Homicide Watch brings you a list of upcoming hearings in the cases we follow. All hearings are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. unless otherwise noted. To add an item to the listing, email homicidewatchdc [at] gmail.com. To see scheduled court hearings beyond next week, see our calendar.

On Monday, Kwan Kearney and Jeremy Risper are scheduled to stand trial for the death of Jamal Wilson. Judge Thomas Motley is assigned to the case.

Also Monday, Raymond Roseboro is scheduled for trial for the death of Prince Okorie. Judge Ronna Beck is assigned to the case; however because she is currently hearing the South Capitol Street murder case, Roseboro’s case will likely be assigned to another judge.

On Wednesday, Albrecht Muth is scheduled to be arraigned on a first degree murder charge for the death of his wife, Viola Drath. Judge Russel Cannan is assigned to the case.

Thursday, Ellsworth Colbert is scheduled for a preliminary hearing with Judge Motley. He’s suspected of killing his neighbor, Robert Wright.

Judge Motley is also expecting Bradley Allen, Stephen Page, and James Brewer for status hearings. Brewer and Page are suspected of first-degree murder in the death of Solomon Reese; Allen is suspected of helping Brewer escape from court before being presented with the charge.

Friday, Brandon Terry is expected for a status hearing with Judge Beck. Terry is suspected in the shooting death of Jhonte Coleman outside the Heritage India nightclub in Dupont Circle.

Judge Beck is also expecting Davon Holmes, Joseph Spinks, Lester Wright, and Phillip Crooms for status hearings. Holmes is suspected of second-degree murder in the stabbing death of Marcellus Terrell Bailey. Spinks is suspected of first-degree murder in the shooting and burning death of Delonte Butler; Crooms is suspected of felony murder in the same case. Wright is suspected of first-degree murder in the shooting death of Howard Harold Williams.

Judge Motley is expecting Antonio Jones for a status hearing in a second-degree murder case. Jones is suspected in the shooting death of Davon Paul Gray.
