Police arrested 65-year-old Claire Rice of Silver Spring, Md., Monday in the shooting death of Anthony Garland Rice.

Anthony Rice, 58, was found unconscious and pronounced dead on Dec. 17, 2012, in the 3100 block of Fort Lincoln Drive Northeast, just behind Thurgood Marshall Elementary School. It’s unclear if he and Claire Rice are related.

Donzell Butler Pleads Innocent to Stabbing Death of Charles Anthony Scott Jr.

A grand jury indicted Donzell Butler last week on a charge of second-degree murder in connection with the July 2012 stabbing death of 20-year-old Charles Anthony Scott Jr.

Butler, 21, was also indicted on several related weapons offenses; he pled innocent Friday to all charges.

Suspect Facing Weapons Charges, Not Murder, in Jan 2012 Death

A DC man arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder is expected to stand trial on much lesser charges in connection with the Jan. 2012 shooting death of Howard Ricardo Sampler.

The man, David Tyrone Robinson, was arrested in Nov. 2012. His arrest was announced along with two others in unrelated deaths by a press release from the Metropolitan Police Department.

Larnell Allen Sentenced to 19 Years in 2010 Murder of Joseph Alonzo Sharps Jr.

Larnell Allen was sentenced to 19 years in prison Friday for his role in the 2010 shooting death of 17-year-old Springarn High School student Joseph Alonzo Sharps Jr. – with credit for the nearly three years he has already served.

Allen pled guilty to second-degree murder while armed, assault with intent to kill and two counts of possession of a firearm during a crime of violence.
