Antonio Jones may claim insanity in his defense against a charge of first-degree murder while armed, Jones’ attorney said Friday.
Jones, 20, is charged in the October shooting death of Davon Gray. He pled innocent to the charges against him at his arraignment today.

Felicia Jones pled innocent on Friday morning to second-degree murder while armed in the stabbing death of Jodie Ward.
Ward was found unconscious in a child’s bedroom in a home in Southeast DC the night of Oct. 20. According to charging documents, a knife was protruding from his left ear.

The Southeast DC man arrested after a nearly eight-hour-long standoff with police Wednesday has said he did fire a gun at J’Ron Lamar Brown, once, at the urging of a neighbor.
Brown, 24, was fatally shot at about 2 a.m. Wednesday.
Derrick Babb was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder while armed in connection with the case later that day. He was ordered held pending a preliminary hearing on the charge today.

Georgetown murder suspect Albrecht Muth still lacks the mental competency required to stand trial, a new report from his doctors at Saint Elizabeths states.
Muth was scheduled to be arraigned, if he was found competent, on Thursday.

Christian Taylor was found guilty this week of fatally shooting two Northeast DC men, a father and son, in a June 2010 robbery attempt on their store.
The verdict came just days short of the two-year anniversary of the crime.

A man arrested on suspicion of murder after barricading himself inside a Southeast DC apartment building was identified tonight by MPD as 23-year-old Derrick Babb.
Just before 2 a.m. Wednesday, J’Ron Lamar Brown was found shot in 1700 block of 17th Street Southeast. Brown was taken to a hospital where he died.
MPD said that after the shooting, a suspect, believed to be Babb, barricaded himself inside an apartment in the same block, launching an almost eight hour long standoff with police and SWAT team negotiators.

Twenty-four-year-old J’Ron Brown was identified as the victim of the fatal shooting this morning that preceded a nearly eight-hour standoff between police, SWAT teams and a suspect.
The suspect still has not been identified.
