Judge Karen Howze ordered Dianna Yvone Lalchan held Friday in connection with a charge of second-degree murder in the shooting death of her husband, Christopher S. Lalchan.
Dianna Lalchan was arrested Thursday morning after Christopher Lalchan died of a gunshot wound to the head.
Charging documents in the case state that Dianna Lalchan called 911 shortly after midnight on March 28. “I shot my husband,” she told the operator, according to the documents.

A man is dead after a shooting near Waterfront Metro, WJLA reports.
The shooting took place at 1200 4th Street SW at right after midnight. Police say the victim and the suspect were related. The victim, who was an adult male, was shot in the head.
News reports say a woman is in custody, and that she is related to the victim.

ABC 7 News aired video Monday of an interview with Albrecht Muth from his hospital bed at United Medical Center.
Muth, lying in bed, with a gray, disheveled beard, told ABC’s Martha Raddatz he was the “convenient suspect” but was not home at the time of Drath’s death. He told Raddatz the Iranian agents had a key to the home, which explained why there were no signs of forced entry to the residence.
Wearing a white T-shirt, dark jeans, and black boots, Darryl Matthews appeared before Judge Karen Howze Wednesday where she ruled that there was enough evidence to hold him for 90 days in connection with the stabbing death of 60-year-old taxi driver Hayes Osei Dennis.
Dennis died at George Washington University Hospital on July 19, 2012, from a stab wound to the chest, which perforated his lung and aorta. Read more
Grant Johnson pleaded not guilty Tuesday to charges including first-degree murder in connection with the death of Ricardo Lancaster.
The grand jury indicted Johnson on charges including first-degree murder while armed, armed robbery, possession of a firearm during a crime of violence, unlawful possession of a firearm and carrying a pistol outside a home or business. Read more
Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force officers arrested a 29-year-old man Tuesday on suspicion of fatally stabbing Hayes Osei Dennis last year.
Darryl Matthews, of Southwest D.C., was taken into custody Tuesday on suspicion of second-degree murder while armed, according to a police statement. Read more
Albrecht Muth is scheduled to stand trial in December for the murder of his wife, Viola Drath, presumably in person.
Court records show Judge Russell Canan spoke by phone with prosecutors and Muth’s defense attorneys Friday. The parties agreed to set a trial date for Dec. 2. Read more

Police are continuing to investigate the fatal shooting of Danzo Thursday morning outside the Balletto nightclub in downtown D.C.
A shooting in the 4300 block of 4th Street Southeast killed 27-year-old Marc Griffith of Northeast D.C. Saturday evening.
Police responded to a report of gunshots around 9:19 pm, where officers saw a man “stagger to a vehicle and leave the scene,” according to an MPD statement.
“Moments later the adult male was dropped off at a local hospital in an unconscious state, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Hospital staff performed lifesaving efforts to no avail and the victim was pronounced dead.” Read more
